QC INSPECTOR x 2

Established for over 50 years HV Wooding Limited is a highly successful manufacturing business providing a sub-contract component and assembly service to Industry. Our core competencies are Presswork, Busbar manufacture, CNC Wire Erosion and CNC Machining.  Working with industry leaders in the electrification of motor vehicles and battery storage.

We currently have 2 positions for Quality Inspectors. This will be an active role “on the shop floor” focused on ensuring products are manufactured to the correct quality standards.  As the Quality Inspector you are responsible for ensuring that components produced are of the best quality and correct to customer specifications. You must be prepared to move around the company‘s three quality areas to build up an all-round knowledge of QC procedures for this position.

This role requires someone who enjoys working with people together with strong influencing skills. You will need to be self-motivated with a friendly and flexible approach. Previous experience of working in a quality environment with the ability to read engineering drawings and the use of measuring equipment would be an advantage.

3-MONTH CONTRACT VACANCY – PRESS MACHINE OPERATOR

H V Wooding Ltd has been established in Hythe, Kent for over 50 years. Our core skills are in the manufacture of metal pressings, electrical busbars and CNC machining, supplying some of Europe’s largest manufacturers.

We require a General Operator to work in our Press Shop operating a punch press. In the Press Shop you will be responsible for producing parts of good quality, whilst ensuring maximum targets are met.

You will need to have a good eye for detail and be prepared to carry out manual handling tasks on a regular basis.

Previous experience of working in a factory environment is desirable although full training will be given.

Hours of work are 39 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm (with ½ hour unpaid lunches and 10-minute paid morning break) and Friday 8am to 1pm. This will initially be a 3-month contract.

3-MONTH CONTRACT VACANCY – CNC GENERAL OPERATOR

H V Wooding Ltd has been established in Hythe, Kent for over 50 years. Our core skills are in the manufacture of metal pressings, electrical busbars and CNC machining, supplying some of Europe’s largest manufacturers.

We require an Operator to work in the CNC Miscellaneous area. The main duties may include operating machinery, setting up fixtures and jigs for milling and drilling, sawing, deburring, using a band saw and general bench work. You will be responsible for producing parts of good quality, whilst ensuring maximum targets are met. Attention to detail is important for this role along with a basic knowledge of maths.

Previous experience of working in a factory environment is desirable although full training will be given.
