Major Series Military ‘style’ Run

We as HV Wooding Limited certainly believe in doing our part for charity and as a company have participated in a variety of events including cycle rides, Quiz’s, boot fairs and much much more and in the process we have raised over £10,000 for a variety of Cancer charities.

This time round we thought we would increase the participation level and encourage as many people as possible to partake in supporting Great Ormond Street. After a lot of deliberation we decided on an event called ‘The Royal British Legion Major Series,’ the run itself is certainly not your ‘average’ run and will see 32 of our willing employees tackle epic military obstacle zones all while being at least knee deep in mud. Let the training begin!

We are running the renowned ‘Major Series’ 5k run for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity because children deserve to have their whole lives ahead of them. Each year, there are over 255,000 patient visits to the hospital. Most of the children they care for are referred from other hospitals throughout the UK and overseas. There are more than 50 different clinical specialities at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Finding new and better treatments and cures for childhood illnesses has always been central to their work. Great Ormond Street Hospital is also at the forefront of paediatric training in the UK. They train more children’s nurses than any other hospital. Their mission is to provide world-class clinical care and training, pioneering new research and treatments in partnership with others for the benefit of children in the UK and worldwide.
