A growing sector for H V Wooding supplying components and Busbars for Power Conversion Systems, LV & MV Converters, Transformers and Switchgear used in the manufacture of 1MW/5MW Wind Turbines. We are also supplying pressed laminations for 10kw/50kw Wind Turbines. Business conducted with major OEM’s and smaller development projects.

Power Generation
H V Wooding are supplying Busbars to the world leaders in this field, working with customers to optimise delivery requirements, improve design and value engineering. Our high level of technical expertise combined with many years manufacturing knowledge enable H V Wooding to offer cost effective solutions to difficult application.

Aerospace
Business in this sector is predominantly CNC Wire Erosion and CNC Machining. Typical applications include motor laminations that are produced from high end electrical steels. We are able to supply at component level or complete assembled lamination stacks. Our customer base comprises of world renowned names and market leaders.

Motorsport
We are proud to be supplying leading Formula One companies with high precision components in this area. Using CNC Wire Erosion technology we are producing high precision parts to micron tolerances.


Marine
Producing Busbars to customer specification, main applications are for Electrical Switchboards. Recent contracts for the CVF Aircraft Carriers and T45 are among the projects that are currently in manufacture. We have engaged with leading OEM’s to assist in the design and drawing of components to allow then to focus on core activities.

Rail
Business in this area ranges from regular repeat orders to project work requiring a rapid response service. Typical applications include Busbars for Control Panels, traction cases and Arc Barriers. We are also making components for DC Switchgear and Rectifier Transformers.

Medical
Precision parts for the Medical Industry are produced using several processes, we provide parts that are Pressed, Wire Eroded and Machined for a range of applications.
