Precision Laser Cutting Now In-house

We pride ourselves on continuing to invest and support our customers and the sectors we work in by adding to our core activities. Our investment plan has been supported by the Regional growth fund which started at our South Site, not only remodelling our facilities but doubling our manufacturing areas, the improvements continued into our press shop increasing our tonnage range to 200 Tonnes with our new Seyi press. Our investment plan continued onto our plating lines which will see our Tin and silver line become fully automated. However we are proud to confirm that our latest Investment is in a Fiber laser machine meaning we can offer our customers precision laser cutting services. We have chosen the TruLaser 3030 Fiber laser ensuring the company-wide standard we have offered for the last 48 years is upheld within our latest addition to our plant.

Laser cut Components, secondary operation and assembly all under one roof.

The Laser will cement our ability to work with our customers from the design and development stage with our in house design team, through to prototyping and testing in our on-site wire erosion department offering the largest bed sizes in the UK, through to low to medium volume with our latest investment in the TruLaser 3030 and onto higher volume within our press shop equipped with 45 presses ranging from 5T to 200T’s complimented by our tool design capabilities and internal tool room. This range of in-house services alongside our Sub assembly facilities ensures our customers have a one stop shop for all of their manufacturing requirements, providing Flexibility and value add opportunities to our customers under one roof.

Our Laser’s key benefits include;

  • Flexibility- Sheet thicknesses of up to 25 mm can be cut, Problem-free processing of sheets with film coating without previous vaporizing and a greater variety of material processing including Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper, Aluminum and Brass.
  • Productivity- The one-cutting-head strategy with collision protection resulting in minimized downtimes, higher machine dynamics due to direct drive, productivity advantage with thin sheets thanks to the TruDisk solid-state laser alongside high throughput and high process reliability due to intelligent functions.
  • Quality and Tolerances- Lasers are naturally an extremely precise and accurate profiling machine, however we have decided to guarantee the best in profiling services  by investing in a Fiber Laser over the more common Co2 laser.
